Snail Mail & Finding Joy
a letter series just for you, right to your mailbox
As many of you know, we welcomed another baby the year I turned 40, just days after my oldest child turned 20. Starting over again at this stage in life has been a gift and also a deep stretch of all my mental and physical abilities. One thing I am working at is simply slowing down. Most things are not an emergency. Most things don’t have to be done in a rush.
I am doing my best to enjoy every second of baby kisses and snuggles and to just embrace all the slower, beautiful things that I've either neglected or done on auto pilot for too many years.
This summer we’ve planted gardens and flowers and hung hummingbird feeders and hammocks and swings wherever we could (inside and out!).
And in all the slowing down, I've thought a lot about how one of my first writing dreams was to create a magazine and how disappointed I was when I realized all that type of content had moved fully online by time I was old enough to start my own.
Isn't it too bad? I thought. Getting something in the mail is so much better than emails.
Instead, I started a blog, which I loved writing.
But there was always this little bit of me that lamented not being able to create physical content other than my books.
And then earlier this year when I was planning content for my paid subscribers, I started wondering…what if I could send you all actual mail? A letter, right to your mailbox, not your email?
Something personal and thoughtful, something encouraging and hope-filled, just like you're used to getting from me—but this time in written form that you can hold in your hands.
So I've been planning. And designing. And I am SO excited.
Starting this month (August 2026) all my paid subscribers will have the options to receive letters from me, right to your mailbox.
This won’t be all year round (I'm raising babies again, so we're going to keep this slow and thoughtful) but will instead be in groups or series, which I will announce before each series starts.
Now, on to some questions and answers!
How does it work?
Starting in August 2026 everyone who is a paid subscriber on the last day of the month, and has filled out the address form that was emailed to them when they subscribed (any of you who are already a paid subscriber when this is published, check your email for yours!) will be mailed a beautiful handcrafted letter, with a thoughtfully designed sticker or small item I’ve crafted that month.
This first series of letters will span over 4 months (August-November 2026) and the next series will be announced in December.
How do I sign up this round of snail mail?
Simply become a paid subscriber (you can pay by the month or by the year, and you can cancel any time) and any month that letters go out and you're on the paid subscriber list by the last day of that month, a letter will be mailed to you!
What about after this round is complete?
This is my first letter series I am making available, so it's a bit of a trial run. My hope and plan is to send out letters that total 9 months of the year, but the next official series won’t be announced until December.
If you become a paid subscriber just for this, you have two options at the end of this series:
Continue on as a paid subscriber & automatically receive future letter series that I send
End your paid subscription & simply renew it in the future if you want to join when another letter series is announced
What if I don’t live in the United States?
There is a special subscription option, just for you! When you go to subscribe there will be an option titled, “International Member”. The price is slightly more to cover the cost of mailing your letter overseas and is paid yearly. When filling out the google form with your mailing address, make sure everything is written exactly how it needs to be on the envelope to arrive to you!
What is the theme of the first letter series?
For our first series, we're going to start with four months of letters (mailing out the last day of the month, from August-November) and this first round is themed “Hard & Holy Places” where I am going to tell you stories and things I've learned (in a bit more personal way than I do online) centered around four places in my life that have been hard but where I've also learned to embrace what is holy there.
As always, expect content that includes conversations about infertility, motherhood, adoption, and farming…with lots of theology thrown in. ♥️
I am so excited to share with you in this way and I'm looking forward to the next four months!
So many blessings, friends!

What a great idea. Excited for you, Tasha!
